The European Festival of Ballet Schools                       ”Grand Assemblé“

Dear participants to the festival,

 

in order to make your stay in Cluj-Napoca during the festival as pleasant as possible, we have prepared for you the schedule of the events, dates, locations and contacts.

 

All the events of the festival take place in the center of the city and can be reached by walking distance. In case you need to take a cab, please have small change in  Romanian currency

1€=4,4 RON ( from the airport to the center, a cab might cost  approx..5-10€)

 

The workshops take place at the Liceul de coregrafie si arta dramatica “O.Stroia”, which is the state ballet school of the city, founded in 1950 by Octavian Stroia, and one of the most important ballet schools in the country, its graduates dance all over the world.

The school has 9 ballet studios and the two studios at the top of the school can be connected, creating one very big studio, which we will use for big groups and audience of the workshops.

Please be aware that all the workshops are open to the audience!

Regarding the symposium of the festival, as there is a lot of information to process, we decided to promote it every two years. This year, we welcome you to a Forum on the theme: “Ballet| Education| Transdisciplinarity” that will take place on Sunday, October 23rd 16.00-18.30 in Palatul copiilor.

        The Dance Demonstrations take place on Tuesday, October 25th at noon at Liceul de coregrafie si arta dramatica “Octavian Stroia”.

The performance of the festival will take place on the main stage of the Romanian Opera House, a building from the beginning of the XX’s century, (1904-1906), whose architects were the germans Fellner & Helmer:
