Culisele Festivalului European al Școlilor de Balet
GRAND ASSEMBLÉ
Festivalul European al Școlilor de Balet “Grand Assemblé” va avea loc la Cluj-Napoca, in perioada 24-28 octombrie şi se va sfârşi cu un spectacol la Opera Naţionala Română. De asemenea, pe data de 25 octombrie, in sala festivă a Colegiului Naţional „Emil Racoviţă”, va avea loc un simpozion la care vor lua parte unele dintre cele mai importante figuri din domeniul coregrafiei şi al muzicii, pe plan mondial, printre care şi Dr. Oliver P. Graber.
Un astfel de festival necesită multă muncă pentru a fi pregătit. A fost nevoie de o întreagă echipă de voluntari, coordonaţi de doamna Simona Noja, directorul Academiei de balet din Viena, şi de doamna profesoară Corina Dindelegan de la C.N.Emil Racoviţă. Noi, voluntarii, ne-am ocupat de reclamă, de pregătirea interviurilor, de proiectarea site-ului, de scrierea newsletter-ului şi ne vom ocupa de fotografierea celor mai memorabile momente de pe parcursul întregului festival. Ȋncercăm să facem acest eveniment cât mai plăcut pentru toţi participanţii şi cât mai reuşit din absolut toate punctele de vedere.
Mulţumim tuturor celor care au dat o mână de ajutor în organizarea şi pregătirea acestui eveniment de o mare importanţă culturală pentru Cluj-Napoca!

Ziua 1: Ȋncepe Dansul
Astăzi, ȋn 24 octombrie la ora 8 fix a ȋnceput oficial Festivalul European de Balet “Grand Assemble”, fiind pentru prima dată când un eveniment de astfel de proporţii are loc ȋn inima Clujului.
Participanţii au fost ȋntâmpinaţi de către organizatori la Liceul de Coregrafie “Octavian Stroia”, unde după ce şi-au primit mapele cu detaliile despre festival, ecusoanele şi tricourile, au intrat direct ȋn studiourile de dans ȋmpreuna cu personalităţi din lumea baletului, care pentru următoarele 4 zile le vor fi atât profesori cât şi mentori.
Din cauză că nu am reuşit să vorbim cu toti cei 100 de participanţi, i-am rugat pe cât mai mulţi să scrie pe câte o foaie un cuvânt sau o propoziţie care să reprezinte felul in care s-au simţit ei când au trecut pragul liceului, stiind că au 4 zile la dispoziţie să ȋşi dezvolte cu cât mai mult posibil abilităţile ȋn ale dansului şi să ȋşi etaleze talentul pe scena Operei Naţionale Române. O parte din ei au spus că sunt extrem de obosiţi ȋnsă majoritatea şi-au declarat entuziasmul, ȋncântarea şi emoţiile faţă de ceea ce va urma.
Ȋn prima zi, participanţii au avut diferite workshop-uri, cum ar fi cele de dans contemporan şi jazz, pe lângă cele de balet, bineȋnţeles.
După multe ore de antrenamente, desi extrem de obosiţi, aveau ceva ȋn comun: pe faţa fiecăruia se distingea un zâmbet larg, uitând parcă de oboseală, foame, frig şi stres – aşa de mult iubesc aceştia dansul.

Mă bucur că am participat !
Astăzi a avut loc prima zi cu workshop-uri din cadrul Festivalului european al scolilor de balet. Experienţa mea este una plăcută şi interesantă. Dimineaţa, la ora 7:40 am primit mapele cu programul spectacolului, detalii despre festival şi ecusonul, toate acestea fiind acompaniate de un tricou cu un mesaj motivaţional ''Respectă talentul prin muncă! ''. Ȋn sala de balet a avut loc o mică deschidere, apoi au ȋnceput workshop-urile de dans clasic, jazz şi contemporan.
Am avut onoarea de a ȋntâlni trei personalităţi, precum Directorul Conservatorului din Lisabona, Pedro Carneiro, care a predat cursul ''Balet 15-18 ani'', Gianpiero Tiranzoni, care a predat cursul ''Jazz Avansaţi'' şi Jade Weiss, care a predat cursul ''Contemporan Avansaţi''.
Toate cursurile au avut ceva specific şi totodată special: contracţiile de la jazz şi contemporan, mişcările de bază atât de diferite, dar parcă totuşi atât de apropiate, stilul energic de la jazz şi muzica clasică interpretată la pian la ora de dans clasic. Mi-a plăcut stilul unic al fiecărui profesor de a preda, combinaţiile interesante şi complexe de la ora de dans clasic, stilul energic şi haios, dar totuşi sever al dlui. Gianpiero unde, ȋn sală, atmosfera este una energică dar relaxată, cu toate acestea mişcările trebuie să fie exact executate şi bineȋnţeles ora de contemporan unde am făcut o coregrafie cu mişcări de bază şi contracţii. Prima zi a fost minunată, am făcut cunoştinţă cu trei profesori demni de admiraţie!

Ce te-a determinat sa participi la acest festival?
Am vrut să îmi fac noi cunoştinţe, să mă întâlnesc cu alţi copii din ţară şi să văd cum sunt ei.
Ce te-a determinat să înveţi balet?
De fapt am ajuns să învăţ balet din greşeală... nu mai erau locuri la desen şi am ajuns la balet. La ȋnceput nu mi-a plăcut dar apoi, încetul cu încetul, a început să îmi placă foarte mult.
Există vreo persoană sau personalitate care să te inspire în mod special?
Nu, nu în mod special. Respect toţi balerinii şi cred că toţi au ajuns la un nivel foarte înalt ca să danseze pe scenă. Respect oamenii în funcţie de cât au muncit şi de cât de departe au ajuns.

Ce te-a determinat sa participi la acest festival?
Profesorii mei mi-au reomandat să particip, dar eu am dorit să îmi îmbunătăţesc tehnica şi să învăţ numere noi cu profesori din alte ţări.
Îţi place baletul şi ce te-a determinat să înveţi balet?
Am început să învăţ balet din cauza problemelor de sănătate, pentru a-mi îndrepta coloana. Am îneput de la vârsta de 3 ani şi a ajuns să îmi placă foarte mult.

Nu neapărat. Sunt mulţi oameni talentaţi în acest domeniu.

The backstage of The European Festival of Ballet Schools
GRAND ASSEMBLÉ
The European Ballet Festival “Grand Assemblé” will take place this year, in Cluj-Napoca, between the 24th and the 28th of October and it will end with a major show at the Romanian State Opera House. Also, on the 25th of October a symposium attended by many worldwide important figures in the spheres of choreography and music, such as Dr. Oliver P. Graber will take place in the festivities hall of The National “Emil Racoviţă” College.
A festival such as Grand Assemble requires a lot of work in order to be organized. A whole team of volunteers, coordinated by Mrs. Simona Noja, director of Vienna Ballet Academy and Mrs Corina Dindelegan teacher at C.N.Emil Racoviţă, was needed to complete this project. We, the volunteers, were the ones that took care of the advertising, the site, the newsletter and will take care of the interviews and the photography for this exciting event. All of this represents the background work, work which is often neglected, but never truly forgotten, especially by those who have done it. We have done our best to make this event as pleasant as possible for each and every guest.
We are very thankful to all of those who have landed a hand in the preparation of this extremely important cultural event for Cluj-Napoca!

Day 1: Dancing Begins
Today, October 24th, at 8 sharp, the first edition of the International Ballet Festival "Grand Assemble" has officially begun in the heart of Cluj-Napoca.
Participants were welcomed at the School of Choreography "Octavian Stroia" where after they received their assigned badges, T-shirts and schedules, they immediately entered the dance studios along with significant personalities from the world of ballet, which for these four days will not only be their teachers, but mentors also.
Although not all 100 participants could be reached for an interview this morning, we asked them to write on a piece of paper a word or phrase that represent how they felt when they crossed the threshold of the school, knowing that they have only four days available to develop their dancing skills as much as possible, furthermore having to take part in a show on the stage of the Romanian National Opera. Some of them said they were very tired, but the majority declared their enthusiasm, excitement and emotions regarding what there is to follow.
On the first day participants had different workshops, such as contemporary dance and jazz, besides the main reason they’re here - ballet, of course.
After many hours, although looking exhausted, they all had something in common: on each of their faces a wide smile could be distinguished, confirming that hunger, fatigue, stress and even the cold weather have all been forgotten due to the happiness that ballet keeps bringing into their lives.

I’m glad I took part!
Today was the first day with workshops in the Festival. My experience is a pleasant and an interesting one. In the morning, at 7.40 a.m. I received all the stuff together with a t-shirt with a motivational message: “Respect Talent through Work!” In the ballet room was a short opening, than ballet, jazz snd contemporary workshops started.
I was honored to meet three personalities, as Pedro Carneiro. The Director of Balet Conservatory from Lisbon, who taught ballet for 15-18 age, Gianpiero Tiranzoni, who was in charge with “Jazz.Advanced” and Jade Weiss for “Contemporary. Advanced”.
All classes had something specific and also special: contractions for jazz and contemporary dance, basic movements so different and also so alike, jazz energetic style and classical music played at piano for the classical ballet class. I loved unique style of each teacher, interesting and complex combinations at the classical dance, Mr. Gianpiero’s energetic and funny but also severe style. In his class even if the atmosphere is an energetic and also relax one, the movements has to be correctly done. I liked contemporary dance class, where I learned a choreography based on base movements and contractions. First day was amazing! I met three teachers to be admired!

How you decided to take part to this festival?
I wanted to make new acquitance, to meet other teenagers form the country and to see how are they.
How you decided to learn ballet?
In fact I atarted to learn by mistake…There were no places in the painting class and it was decided to learn ballet. I didn’t like it at the beginning, than, step by step, I started to love it more and more.
Is there anyone or an important dancer to inspire you in a special way?
No, nobody special. I respect all ballet dancers and I belive that all got to a very high level in order to dance on the stage. I respect people depending on how much they worked and how far they got.

My teachers advised me to take part. I am the one who wanted to develop its technique and to learn new dances with teachers from other countries.
How you decided to learn ballet?
I started to learn ballet because of my health problems with vertebral column. I started at 3 and I become very fond of ballet.
